time to prep for departure

I leave in exactly 19 days for Africa. I'm getting really excited, but it still seems like a long time away. This will be the most adventurous thing I have ever done. Even though everyone keeps telling me all the scary things that COULD happen, I guess I've blocked out the possibility of any danger. Even though ignoring something doesn't always mean it will go away. Oh well, not much I can do about it now! I have all my shots, a year's supply of mosquito repellant, my visa, round trip plane ticket, etc. etc. etc.
I leave August 19 and should be in Ghana by the 20th. I don't start classes until a few days later after orientation. I'll update once I get there and let y'all know how it is!
